There can never be enough ecchi anime! In fact, this is the first time in years we've had 2 in one season. It makes isekai anime tolerable, however, I actually really enjoy this one.

meh. as a true man of culture i can say that ecchi anime are in a bad spot right now. Redo of healer was passable, but it's like if SAO Season one ended right after they cleared the first floor. the story didn't have a chance to go anywhere with the amount of material they decided to adapt.

Ishizoku Reviewers was straight up garbage. basically just trying to turn a giant pile of fan service into something other than a giant pile of fan service. there was that other one... about the pandemic that basically killed all the men? that one wasn't too bad, for an ecchi focused series.

but good ecchi needs to be worth watching for the actual plot and story, because otherwise you could just go to a hentai site and watch some Bible Black, Discipline, Words Worth etc.

Very true. Unfortunately there really hasn't been much of anything decent for a while (last I can think of off hand is daily life with monster girls) and what does come out that's somewhat decent are the 10 minute episodes. I'm sure it has to do with how the laws changed overseas over the last few years and the current popularity of isekai. I honestly don't expect much in terms of plot from ecchi other than a good laugh and oppai so when something comes out like Peter Grill and Immoral Guild come along, I try to enjoy them for what they are. They're nothing great but at something to laugh at.

nah man if u want that then actually go watch hentai good isekai animes are good when they have an interesting world and premise. the echi can ad but it can also ruin. mushoku tensei really liked the anime but the perverded nature of rudeus was really not needed :(

The perverted nature of a young man entering puberty (physically), and the subsequent chemical imbalances that occur with physical growth, conflicting with the more mature mental state of a mind already in regret of his past life's failures was the imperfection that made Rudeus "human." Imperfection creates depth of character and provides context for growth and in writing. Without knowing the depths of darkness from whence the character begins we can not fully comprehend the choices nor notice the changes that character goes through on the literary journey they takes us on. This is also notable through the trauma that Goblin Slayer starts from and how it forms the nature and character of the MC. Even the more recent black cat Fran is seen doing some rather dark and cold-heart-ed acts but they are understandable to the reader because we are given insight into where she is coming from. Master's influence on her development starts from a known point of reference so we gain perspective to her growth. Here Rein has a near pure personality despite the murder of his family, utter destruction of his home and community, all his relatives and friends... His abuse and misuse by the "Hero's Party" members and seriously I find it... difficult to suspend reality and amerce into the story simply based on that premise. Still I know it's written for kids so I chalk it up to simple writing.

as i mentioned in my comment above this, Mushoku Tensei is such a good anime because the character building of Rudeus(both his soul/past life self/and current form) and I like what you said about Goblin Slayer as well, without those experiences you end up with a bland character.. I personally enjoy this anime for what it is, doesn't need any Ecchi stuff, seeing as I believe this was written and meant for a younger audience. It fits it's niche well.

Man, I get what you mean but for me, the pedo undertones in that mushoku anime was too much, atleast in the parts of season 1 that I watched up to before I dropped it. They legit could've portrayed his pervy ways for growth in many ways but unlike any other anime I have watched, they managed to add some scenes that you just can't ignore. The Justin guy isn't wrong about being able to see the MC's growth from that perverted nature, but it doesn't dismiss the fact that some of the elements of the show were disturbing, and I think that's what made you uncomfortable with Rudeus's pervy nature like me.

Sorry, I respect you opinion... but wow... Rudy's pervy nature from being a shut in, and the horrible trauma he went through in his past life and growing from you a baby(which had the mind of a 30 year old NEET), and his journey of finding what it is like to actually to outside and meet friends, feel what love is like... definitely added to that anime's story and made it the awesome anime it was... can't wait till the next installment of it.. there are some animes where for sure they could do without the Ecchi stuff, but that anime definitely wasn't one of them...

Perhaps the plot twist is that Rein is the hero's descendant, and this current 'hero' is the reincarnation of the demon king. Dude would be so pissed off it turns out to be true.

Maybe that's why the demon lord had Rein's town destroyed, because he knew it was the town of the Hero.

probably the demon lord just trying to protect his own citizens and the kingdom see them as nuisance cuz they are racist piece of sht like other anime.....so they sent hero party to eliminate them....seeing how the hero is rotten, wouldnt be that surprising if the king and nobles are all rotten to the core too
